LHC forms new bench to hear pleas on Punjab interim govt's powers

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday constituted a new larger bench to hear the pleas on powers vested in Punjab interim government.

Justice Anwaar Hussain replaced Justice Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir on a five-member bench comprising Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh, Justice Shahid Karim, and Justice Asim Hafiz headed by Justice Baqir Ali Najfi. The bench will hear the plea at 12:30pm on Thursday.

Earlier, the bench stood dissolved as the lawyer representing the government had objected to the inclusion of Justice Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir on the bench.
